Aluminum wheels

Steel rims are heavy, which is why most motorists prefer not to use them. Aluminum wheels are often made of an alloy that combines aluminum with steel, which makes them both strong and lightweight.

Because they are so prestigious, most companies will manufacture their own aluminum wheels, including:
• Audi
• Chrysler
• BMW
• Jaguar
• Mercedes

Caring for your aluminum wheels shouldn’t be too time consuming, but keeping an eye on them will uphold their sheen and keep them from corroding (alloys are known to rust easier than steel). A soft cloth and soapy water should be sufficient to clean them, but there are also specialty cleaners available.
